Details: On the subject of career orientation/career testing, "practical days in workshops" with around 40 pupils (sus) from the Potsdam "upper secondary school I technology" are to be implemented at an extracurricular location in the second half of the 2024/2025 school year. The participants are pupils on the "vocational school basic education plus" (bfs G Plus) course. The pupils are to gain practical insights into the professional world over 10 days and learn about work processes and working methods in 4 professional fields. The number of participants is divided into 2 classes with a total of around 40 pupils. The pupils (sus) are in the first year of the two-year "bfs basic education plus" course and are aiming for an apprenticeship or a further school offer to improve their training skills as a follow-up perspective. If possible, the 10 project days should be implemented on two consecutive calendar weeks in blocks of 5 days each (Mon. - Fri.). The daily project duration for the students is 6 hours (during class times, e.g. 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.). The project complements the school's concept of career orientation. The knowledge and skills acquired by the students are intended to help strengthen the students' personal goals (reflection of their own interests, job requirements, their own perception and the perception of others). The results will also be incorporated into the employment agency's career advice. The students - spend ten days testing their job-related skills in four professional fields in extracurricular practice rooms or workshops and produce their own work samples - assess their own interests, strengths and skills, develop them further and relate them to their career aspirations - are supported in reflecting on their own job-related experiences in different contexts - are motivated to further develop their personal profile and recognise development potential - train their social skills when working in a team - receive a certificate for practical learning and an assessment of their skills from the trainers - learn a lot of interesting things about a wide range of training occupations - receive tips on finding apprenticeships and introducing themselves to training companies As part of the educational concept, work should be carried out in groups of max. 10 students. Practical work with various materials in the practice rooms or workshops and, if necessary, the creation of products should take place in four professional fields over 2.5 days each. The selection of the career fields to be offered by the contractor should be made in four of the following eleven career fields: 1. Warehousing/logistics 2. Painting/drywall construction 3. Automotive engineering 4. Hotels and restaurants 5. Plastics processing 6. Personal care/hairdressing 7. Woodworking 8. Electrical/electronics 9. Metalworking 10. Office management 11. Working with plants The teachers or educational staff (e.g. school social worker) of the "osz I Technik" will be actively involved in the project implementation as follows: - The students will be informed about the project in advance - The students will be accompanied and supported during implementation - The project will be evaluated with the students Planned involvement of parents or the responsible carer in the project implementation: - The provider will prepare an information letter about the content and process of the project for the parents or the responsible carer in consultation with the responsible teacher. The contractor must provide the following equipment (factual/technical/spatial): - Work materials - Tools/work equipment - Rooms (e.g. workshops) The rooms must be equipped in such a way that the specific skills can be learned in the respective professional field. Work equipment and materials as well as tools must be available to the students in sufficient numbers and for sufficient time. The contractor must provide qualified specialist staff with experience in pedagogical work practice. Qualification requirements: The specialist staff employed by the contractor should have at least the following qualifications: 1) Completed vocational or technical college training or equivalent knowledge, experience and skills in the respective professional field offered and 2) A trainer aptitude test or comparable qualification (e.g. trainer training course, preparatory course for the AEVO exam, target group-specific further training).
