Details: The administration of the Brandenburg State Parliament has been using Univention Corporate Server (UCS) with the Univention Management Console (UMC) to manage IT throughout the Brandenburg State Parliament since 2009. Since 2016, the Univention domain has been operated in AD member mode together with Microsoft AD. Selected AD objects and their associated attributes are automatically synchronized with the OpenLDAP directory service of the UCS. The OpenLDAP directory service is an essential prerequisite for core applications of the State Parliament, such as the Electronic Process Management and Information System (ELVIS), the Nextcloud cloud service, and the authentication of clients on the WLAN using 802.1x, mediated by the Cisco Identity Service Engine. Due to the extremely high importance of the availability of the UCS systems and the OpenLDAP directory service (and synchronization with Microsoft AD), a maintenance contract is to be concluded.
