The framework agreement includes technical advice and assistance that will contribute to obtaining the necessary environmental authority permits as well as the investigation of pollution, environmentally hazardous substances, noise and vibrations in connection with the planning and design of Banedanmark's construction and track renewal projects. The framework agreement also includes environmental advice on the preparation of EIA screening applications and tender materials, also in connection with the planning and design of Banedanmark's construction and track renewal projects. The tasks may vary in scope and size, just as there may be a need for several of the different task types to be combined and carried out simultaneously, e.g. within the same project. All task types are specified in Appendix 1 - Requirements Specification. The tasks of the framework agreement are divided into deliveries within the following areas: • Identifying conflicts and necessary permits • Strategic plans for land management • Pollution studies of soil and groundwater • Screening and mapping of environmentally hazardous substances and resources in buildings/structures • Calculations and assessments in relation to noise and vibrations • Preparation of authority applications • Input for EIA screening application • Preparation of tender materials (railway construction) • Professional management and administration • Any other unidentified and minor ad hoc purchases

A comprehensive exhaust aftertreatment system, which is defined in the tendered contract as an environmental upgrade system, is to be installed. The components of the environmental upgrade system are: diesel oxidation catalysts (DOC), diesel particulate filters (DPF) (together these two are called a "particulate filter system"), and a SCR catalyst.

Banedanmark is offering three (3) subcontracts for maintenance of the track profile, mechanical and manual efforts. The purpose of the tender is to ensure forestry maintenance tasks around the areas along the railway, which is necessary to ensure the overall road profile. The profile extends 6 meters vertically from the outer rail and 8 meters horizontally. This is an annual recurring task, where the vegetation within the profile on all sections is crushed and cut via mechanical and manual efforts. The subcontracts offered thus deal with the forestry maintenance task, which is to ensure: - Maintenance of the profile - Signal visibility along the section - Regularity and safety of train operations - Tidiness around and accessibility to the infrastructure. The subcontracts also include maintenance work and storm preparedness. The tender is divided into subcontracts, by geography, including: - Subcontract 1: North (North and Central Jutland) - Subcontract 2: South (South Jutland and Funen) - Subcontract 3: East (Zealand)
