Most of the tree pits have already been dug and filled with substrate. The aim is to give the new urban district and the streets a green character. The construction site is located on the southern outskirts of Darmstadt on a converted area of the former Cambrai-Fritsch barracks or Jefferson settlement, today's Ludwigshöhviertel. In recent years, BVD New Living GmbH & Co. KG has comprehensively redesigned the entire conversion site. The former barracks buildings were largely demolished, various building sites cleared and leveled. In addition, the necessary ordnance clearance and soil remediation measures were carried out. The work on the internal development is almost complete. Construction has already started on several of the cleared building sites. The work areas for the greening are spread across the entire planning area. Construction is planned to start in March/April 2025 and is expected to last until May 2025. The construction and planting services will be followed by completion and development maintenance services. The planning and site supervision of the plantings is carried out by the planning office of landscape architect Michael Palm, Weinheim.
