The project S1 Kanebogen-Margarethe Jørgensens vei is part of the town package Harstad in Troms og Finnmark County. The project is a continuation of the work on improving the main road along national road 83 to Harstad, between Kanebogen and Seljestad. The lot is 2.2 km long. The annual daily traffic count is approx. 17,500. The contract includes, amongst other things, improvements to two junction areas from T-junctions to roundabouts, the establishment of an access ramp for road traffic, the establishment of a 2.2 km cycle path with a pavement and a foot/cycle path with three bridges, the accompanying landscape work, noise reduction measures, street lights, and alterations to a road toll station. The work also includes the establishment of a new surface water system with street drains, sand trap manholes, and a transport pipeline for surface water for the national road. The water and sewage work will be carried out for Harstad Municipality. A small sea filling is also to be established with the accompanying water and sewage treatment plant.

Upgrade of electrical and control engineering installations, site and construction engineering as well as traffic flow in the Jernfjell and Skrikeberg tunnel. The Jernfjell tunnel is 2,391 metres long and was opened in 1989. The procurement concerns a framework agreement for rehabilitation of noise barriers, connected to national and European roads in Oslo, Viken ogand Innlandet. Example of assignments that may be covered by the framework agreement: total replacement of noise barriers, setting up new noise barriers, repair/rehabilitation of barrier condition, improvement/upgrading of the existing noise barriers. It must be expected that some work are carried out on or by busy roads. The contracting authority will follow the European/national roads with associated foot/cycle paths throughout Oslo, Viken and Innlandet. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration intends to sign contracts with up to four contractors. The developer will prepare mini competitions for each specific assignment they want carried out. The form of contract is execution contract. The works will be performed in the period from contract signing until and including 31.12.2023. For the contract there is a mutual option to extend the framework agreement for a further one year + one year on verbatim terms.

The aim of the procurement is to cover the contracting authority's need for a new E6 from Svenningelv to Lien in Grane Municipality. There is a proposal to finance the lot through the state budget 2021. The contract is subject to being cancelled if financing is not achieved when when the state budget 2021 is approved. The E6 Helgeland project is of great importance for the entire region, both locally and regionally. The standard of the E6 is important for ensuring that business have good access to the market with the lowest possible transport costs. The E6 is also important for accessibility internally in Helgeland so that the region can function as a residential and labour market region for businesses and employees. Commercial and goods transport on roads depend on punctual deliveries and quick conveying in order to create more predictable transport, in particular the transport of fish has considerably increased in recent years.
