The University’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) project is seeking the services of a pedagogically informed peer learning tool that can enable peer review including video submission and code assignments. The peer learning tool should provide comprehensive student guidance and be configurable in multiple ways to suit assignment formats. In addition to the peer learning tool, users should have access to support resources to scaffold the peer review process. All interested interactive peer learning tool providers must have a proven track record, along with demonstrable knowledge, in successfully implementing their solution in other higher educational institutions. It is essential that the peer learning tool fully integrates with the Brightspace VLE. The list below is indicative of the functionality required by the peer learning tool and is not intended to be an exhaustive list and additional functionality may be required.

The Wireless Communications Laboratory, through its Future RF Laboratory, is seeking to acquire a Vector Network Analyser (VNA) system for swept frequency measurements (up to 320 GHz – upgradeable to THz), to enable the group to carry out research and development in the area of the cutting-edge, AI-defined mm-wave/THz radio front-ends. More specifically, the VNA will enable test and measurement capabilities required for RF/mm-wave components, such as passive components (filters, antennas, antenna arrays), active components (switches, phase shifters, attenuators) and other bespoke RF/mm-wave devices and components, such as complete RF/mm-wave front-ends. In addition, the requested VNA, will provide a nationally significant boost in the range of research activities that could be undertaken in the wireless communications domain, and will, ultimately, increase the level and type of collaborations that could be undertaken, both with academic and industrial collaborators.

Engineering Consultancy Services - East Region Embankments - Survey and Data Processing It is envisaged that the scope of this project is a ‘desktop’ study/assessment and will comprise of the assessment of various datasets, comparison of same and identifying gaps in the information supplied. Regular communication throughout the project between the Consultant and the OPW will be required to facilitate its efficient delivery. The objectives of this Project are as follows: ­ Identify embankments or sections of embankments where there are discrepancies between the existing surveyed levels and widths and the original scheme design. ­ Provision of commentary on current land use for areas benefitting from the respective embankments. This information can then be used by the OPW to inform areas for further inspection and potentially assist with the prioritisation of maintenance and repairs of these embankments.

The N5 Ballaghaderreen to Scramoge Road Project comprises the design and construction of 34km of Type 1 Single Carriageway from the tie-in point of the N5 Ballaghaderreen Bypass in the west, passing to the south of the village of Frenchpark, before crossing the existing N5 and passing to the north of Bellanagare and Tulsk villages. The route then passes to the north of Clooncullaan Lough, before turning in a southerly direction to pass east of Strokestown before re-connecting to the existing N5 at Scramoge.

The portal should provide students with a secure, transparent and competitive way to make payments, whilst standardising the receivables and reconciliation for Universities, regardless of the student’s nationality, financial institution or payment method.
