Tenders are sought for the supply, delivery, and installation of a parallel micro-bioreactor system capable of performing up to 48 individual fermentation experiments with a working volume of 2 to 5 ml. The micro-bioreactor system provides independent control of pH, dissolved oxygen (DO) and temperature. The system is capable of automated liquid and gas addition as required during fermentation process. The experiments can be operated in a batch or fed-batch mode. The parallel microbioreactor system can be supplied as a single unit (1 x 48) or multiple units (e.g., 2 x 24, etc.,) to facilitate up to 48 parallel fermentation experiments.

The University Of Limerick Grounds Maintenance Team maintains a wide diversity of landscapes and habitats within a 150 hectare of land known as the UL Campus. Tenders are sought for the supply, delivery and installation of a bioreactor platform for small-scale fermentation. The bioreactor platform must be capable to run parallel experiments in all the benchtop bioreactors with independent process control. The platform must be able to run as integrated and/or individual set of bioreactors with individual setpoints (e.g. Temp., pH etc.). The working volume of each bioreactor must be in the range of 200 to 400 mL. The operations provide measurement, control and continuous data logging for key process parameters (pH, DO2, temperature and stirrer speed). The bioreactor platform must enable the researchers to perform design of experiments and record process parameters reliably to facilitate technology transfer to pilot/industry scale.
