This contract is for South West Region of Ireland (Region 1) which includes five local authorities for which Cork County Council is the lead Authority for the region. The region contains approximately 77,633 public streetlights which are required to be retrofitted with energy efficient street lighting luminaires and will also include: • Initial inspection of assets; • Design, Supply, Installation and Testing of LED retrofit; • Safe disposal and recycling of redundant lanterns and redundant ancillary supports and electrical equipment/wiring; • Column replacement (5%); • Column door replacement (15%); • Bracket replacement (33%); • 1,000 ESB pillar replacement installations across the region; • Electrical and Circuitry works; • Associated Civil works; • Condition survey/data gathering; • Traffic Management; • PSDP/PSCS Duties; and • Output Verification.

The Contracting Authority, Cork County Council, acting on it's own behalf and acting as the Lead Authority on behalf of Clare County Council, Kerry County Council, Limerick City and County Council and Waterford City and County Council is engaging in a competitive tendering process for the establishment of a contract for Multi-disciplinary Consulting Engineering Services to deliver stages (iv) and (v) of South West Local Authorities Public Lighting Energy Efficiency Project. The estimated total value of the Works Contract is approximately €35m (ex VAT). It is emphasized, however, that this figure is provided strictly for indicative purposes only as there is not guaranteed expenditure under the Contract. The estimated duration of the Works Contract is approximately 54 months. Applicants are invited to submit a completed ESPD and a Tender Submission.
