Earth work in excavation of foundation of structures as per drawing and technical specification, including setting out, removing, spreading or stacking of spoils within a lead of 150 m. as directed and including trimming the sides of the trenches, leveling, dressing and ramming the bottom, and backfilling with approved material complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge . I. In all sorts of soil excluding marshy soil & rocks (soft or hard) by manual means. a) upto 3 m depth. Without pumping out water and shoring.

Earthwork in filling in foundation trenches with good earth in layers not exceeding 15cm. including watering and ramming layer by layer complete with earth obtained from excavation of foundation or from fresh excavation of land arranged by Department within a lead of 150 m.

Box cutting or filling in Road embankment in all sorts of soil including spreading the spoils properly over the flank as necessary or on berm to approximate grade & camber and rolling the sub-grade with power roller to proper camber and grade as per direction and satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge including uprooting and removing plants and jungles when and where necessary. Depth up to 150 mm.

Ordinary Cement concrete (mix 1:1.5:3) with graded stone chips (20 mm nominal size) excluding shuttering and reinforcement, if any, in ground floor as per relevant IS codes. (a) Pakur variety

Cast-in-situ cement concrete blocks or lining units as per designed section and specification,in nominal Mix. 1:1.5:3 (correspomding to M20 grade) with 20 mm down stone metal aggregate, laid in position by casting in alternative panels or otherwise to keep a gap of 12mm between the adjacent units, over a layer of polythene sheet of thickness not less than 100 micron to act as a separator between the bottom surface of the block and the sand cushion/ filter material laid below the blocks, including dressing, ramming, shuttering, finishing the exposed surface by trowel without adding any additional cement and sand mortar, curing and filling the gaps between the adjacent units by 5.6mm down coarse aggregate to be compacted properly, with all leads and lifts including supply and carriage of all materials, complete, without the cost of sand cushion/ filter Pakur variety

Precast cement concrete blocks or lining units as per designed section and specification, in nominal Mix. 1:1.5:3 (correspomding to M20 grade) with 20 mm down stone metal aggregate, including dressing, ramming, shuttering, finishing the surface by trowel without adding any additional cement and sand mortar, curing, transporting and laying the blocks or lining units at worksite in position, over sand cushion/filter layer, with cold (paper) joints between the adjacent units, having gap varying from 0 to 5 mm as tolerance, with all leads and lifts, including supply and carriage of all materials complete. Note:- Stone aggregates of pakur varieties.

Sand filling in foundation trenches and at the back of abutments, wing-walls etc. with good local sand free from earth in layers not exceeding 15 cm. including inundating each layer by profuse water and poking and ramming layer by layer complete including supply of sand. Quality of sand is to be approved by the Engineer-in-charge. 1. Labour rate per cum including cost of sand added to arive at the complete item rate. 2. Compaction factor of dry clean sand is 0.835. Medium Sand (Grading Zone II as per IS: 383-1970) stacked at site.

Supplying and laying Polythene Sheet (150gm / sq.m.) over damp proof course or below flooring or roof terracing or in foundation or in foundation trenches.

Hire and labour charges for Shuttering with or without staging upto 4.0 m height using approved stout props with ply wood/steel sheet plate with required bracing for any kind of plain or reinforced concrete works in all sorts of minor structure including culvert, box culvert, crossdrain etc. The rate is inclusive of fitting, fixing and striking out after completion of work as per specification and direction. (b) Where staging is not required

Water Bound Macadam Sub Base by consolidating Jhama metal/ Laterite chelly or stone metal/ shingles of specific size in hard crust to requisite thickness (measured after compaction) in layers including screening of metals etc. as necessary, hand packing, sweeping, watering and rolling in stages with power roller to proper line, grade and camber, lighting, guarding & barricading and making necessary earthen bundh of one metre width on each side where necessary to protect edges and preparing the bed by necessary cutting or filling and rolling all complete including the cost of all materials and hire and labour charges of all men and machineries and compacting to the required density, as per Clause 404 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). (i) For Construction of Sub Base by consolidating Laterite (90 mm to 45 mm). NB:- 1. Added cost at site of 1.45 cum of materials. 2. Quarry Laterite chelly is considered from Punisole, Dist.-Bankura.

Supplying, spreading and consolidating moorum to a depth of 75 mm at desired density and C.B.R. as per specification with power roller to proper gradient and camber including watering as necessary, and lighting, guarding, barricading and making adequate earthen bundh where necessary to protect the edges and curing with water for 2-3 days, mending cracks by rolling where necessary including all incidental charges of roller, cost of fuel & lubricants etc. complete as per specification. (The compaction factor may be taken as 0.67). (The payment is to be made on the basis of the finished compacted volume of moorum). (Quarry for moorum is considered from Punisole, Dist.- Bankura).

Supplying RC spun pipe (NP2) and matching collar as per specification including loading, unloading, carriage and stacking properly at site as per instruction of Engineer in Charge.

Labour charge for laying, fitting and fixing in position RC spun pipe (NP2) with collar in canal banks, roads, including caulking the joints of collars as when and necessary with cement mortar (prop. 1 : 2) jute and bitumen etc. as approved including curing, cost and carriage of sand, cement etc. complete (excluding cost and carriage of pipes and collars from Departmental / Manufacturar stack yard). 22.5 cm dia. Pipe 2.00 m long.
