Box cutting or filling in road embankment in all sorts of soil including spreading the spoils properly over the flank as necessary or on berm to approximate grade & camber and rolling the sub-grade with power roller to proper camber and grade as per direction and satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge including uprooting and removing plants and jungles when and where necessary. (a) Depth upto 150mm

(b) For each additional Depth of 150mm and part thereof

Labour for breaking 1/2 Bricks or Full Bricks (Old/ New) into metal / khoa / chips as per specific size and stacking the same at site or stackyard with due allowance of sinkage / shrinkage as per direction of the Engineer in charge. Khoa size 50mm to 65mm

Costruction of sub base using local materials, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface, including screening the metal as necessary, mixing by mix in place method with Ritavator at OMC, and compacting with vibrator roller to achieve the desired density, lighting, guarding and barricading including cost and carriage of all materials and making necessary earthen bundh of one metre wide on each side to protect the edges complete as per clause 401 of Specifications for Roads & Bridge works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). (i) For construction of sub base by compacting 1st class brick aggregates (40mm down) and sand (in proportion of 60:40). (b) By Department Brick agregates

Water Bound Macadam Sub Base by consolidating Jhama metal / Laterite chelly or stone metal / shingles of specific size in hard crust to requisite thickness (measured after compaction) in layers including screening of metals etc. as necessary, hand packing, sweeping, watering and rolling in stages with power roller to proper line, grade and camber, lighting, guarding & barricading and making necessary earthen bundh of one metre width on each side where necessary to protect edges and preparing the bed by necessary cutting or filling and rolling all complete including the cost of all materials and hire and labour charges of all men and machineries and compacting to the required density, as per Clause 404 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). (i) For construction of Sub Base by consolidating Jhama metal (63mm to 45mm) with moorum sand screening:

Supplying, spreading and consolidating Stone Dust to a depth of 100 mm and above at desired density and C.B.R. as per Specification with power roller to proper gradient and camber including watering as necessary, and lighting, guarding, barricading and making adequate earthen bundh where necessary to protect the edges and curing with water for 2 to 3 days, mending cracks and depressions by rolling where necessary including all incidental charges of roller, cost of fuel & lubricants complete as per specification.

Supplying & labour for spreading & consolidating stone metal specific sizes in hard crust to requisite thickness (measured after compaction) in layers including screening of bats / metal etc. as necessary, spreading manually or with the help of motor grader, sweeping, eattering and rolling in stages with power roller toproper line, grade & camber, spreading and sweeping reqisite type & quantity of screening materialsto fill up the interestices of coarse aggregate, applying binding materials as directed including lighting guarding & barricading & making necessary earthen bundh of one metre width on each side where necessary to protect edges and preparing the bed ny necessary cutting filling & rolling all complete including the cost of all materials & hire & labour charges of all men & machineries & as per specification & direction of EIC & including cost of materials & screening. (iii) Grading-II Aggregate (53mm to 22.4mm) using stone screening type B (11.2mm) (75mm thick two layer) B. Manual Means

Providing and applying primer coat with Cationic Bitumen Emulsion of approved grade conforming to IS: 8887-1978 and requisite quantity on prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface and spraying primer using Mechanical means including cost and carriage of bitumen emulsion and all other incidental costs of work complete as per Clause 502 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). (i) For WBM/WMM Surface.

Open-Graded Premix Surfacing using Bituminous (Viscosity grade Paving Bitumen / Modified bitumen) Binder and Mobile Hot Mix Plant (Light Duty) Providing, laying and rolling of Open - graded premix surfacing of 20 mm thickness composed of 13.2 mm (@0.018 m³ per m²) and 11.2 mm (@ 0.009 m³ per m²) size stone aggregates, including thoroughly cleaning of the surface, screening, cleaning and pre-heating stone chips and fully pre-coating the same either using viscosity grade paving bitumen or cut-back or emulsion, carrying the mixture by any suitable arrangements, laying the mixture uniformly over the surface, including line, grade and level to serve as wearing course on a previously prepared base, including mixing in Mobile Hot Mix Plant (Light Duty) and thoroughly rolling with a smooth wheeled roller 8-10 tonne capacity, finished to required level and grades including the cost and carriage of stone chips and matrix, heating the matrix, preheating the aggregates to required temperature and including the hire charges of Mobile Hot Mix Plant (Light Duty) and other machinery, pay of operators,cost of fuel and lubricants etc. complete to be followed by seal coat of either Type A or Type B as per Technical Specification Clause 508 for Rural Roads of MORD.

Providing and laying premixed Seal Coat (Type-B) with approved quality sand/grit @ 0.6 M3 / 100 M2 and bitumen binder on thoroughly cleaned sand/grit (100% passing through 2.36 mm sieve and retained on 180 miicron sieve) uniformly with bitumen binder, laying and spreading the mix at an uniform rate using suitable means, brushing the surface, if necessary, to ensure uniformity, followed by rolling with power roller including the cost and carriage of binder and aggregates, cost of fuel and lubricants, including hire charges of machineries, tools & plants required for construction and quality control complete as per Clause 511 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). (ii) By Manual Means With Hot Bitumen Binder (@ 6.80 kg / 10 sqm.)

Supplying empty Cement bags in good condition.

Filling empty Cement bags with dry earth or sand, stitching the bag (cost of thread included) and carrying and placing them in position and all incidental charges complete but excluding cost of sand and gunny bags.

Earthwork in excavation from borrow pits (land owned/arranged by the Department) and depositing in layers of 250 mm. including breaking clods in embankment works and to fill up back of abutments, depressions and ruts with an initial lead up to 50 m and initial lift up to 1.5 m making bunds at top as directed dressing complete. Supplying fitting and fixing R.C. guard post 1.37m long with C.C. 1:2:4 with graded stone chips of 13.2mm down casting , curing complete including cost of providing 4nos.of 12mm dia. rod of length 1.54m as main reinforcement and 6 nos. of round shaped 8mm dia rods used as binders; the placing of the first binder should be at 75mm below the top finished surface and the other 5 nos of binders should be placed at 245mm c/c ; the guard post is of octagonal section with inscribed circle of dia 24cm at the base tapering to corresponding dimensions of 16cm at the top including two coats of painting with best quality synthetic enamel paint of approved make and grade to form 6 nos. horizontal alternate bands in white/tannery yellow and black to 90 cm length standing up above ground after mendinggood damages if any during striking off shuttering,making hole in ground of 47cm depth and 30cm. minimum dia, fixing the guard posts in the same holes and repacking the earth properly so as to keep the guard posts standing properly erect in correct position true to line and length including carriage of R. Construction of Sign Board with 0.45m x 0.60m (height) granite slab of 15-18mm thick engraving the lettering over it as directed by the E.I.C. fitting and fixing complete over brick masonry (with 4:1 cement mortar) platform covered with 4:1 sand-cement plaster with neat cement punning all complete as per direction & design supplied by the E.I.C.

Box cutting in road embankment in all kinds of soil & spreading the soil uniformly over the flanks & consolidating & dressing the sub-grade to correct camber & grade.

Single Brick Flat Soling of picked jhama bricks including ramming and dressing bed to proper level and filling joints with local sand.

Providing & laying nominal Mix Cement Concrete of Grade M-20 grade with coarse and the fine aggregate conforming to IS: 383, the size of course aggregate not exceeding 25 mm of pakur or other approved variety including Screening and clening of aggregate , If necessary both of approved quality and cement as necessary compacting by vibrator of other suitable means cost of curing with water. cost for quility control , sampling, testing etc. and including placing a Separation membrane of impermeable PVC sheet 125 micron thick transfernt of white in colour laid flat with minimum creases. Before placing the seperation membrne the sub base shall be swept clean kof all the extraneous materials Whenever overlap of plastic sheets in necessary the same shall be at least 300 mm and any damaged sheating shall be replaced at the Contractor cost including carriage of all materials to site but excluding the cost of staging shuttering and reinforcement if any.

Hire and labour charges for shuttering with or without staging upto 4.0 m heightusing approved stout propswith wooden planks/ply wood/ steel sheet plate with requred bracing for any kind of plain or reinforced concrete worksin all sorts of minor structure including culvert, box culvert, croos drain etc. The rate is inclusive of fitting, fixing and striking out after completion of work as per specification and direction. b) Where staging is not requred.

Providing and filling joint sealing compound as per drawing and technical specification with coarse sand and 6% bitumen by weight.
