(29.3)Excavation of earth cable trench minimum 900mm deep and 450mm wide and providing & underground laying/dressing of the following LT power cables (1.1 KV grade AYFY cabls). The LT power cable shall be stranded aluminium conductor, XLPE/PVC insulated, color coded, cores laid up, wrapped PVC/ thermoplastic tape inner sheathed, single layer of galvanized flat steel strip/round steel wire armoured and overall XLPE/ PVC outer sheathed power cable confirming to IS-1554(part-I)/1988 with latest amendments. Contractor shall submit the work test certificate of LT Power cable to UWD prior to supplying the materials at work site at no extra cost and also provide 1 Mtr. length of LT power cable as a test sample to UWD from each cable drum before start the work & contactor shall only start the work after getting the satisfactory test report of respective test sample of LT power cable. The work shall include filling of trench with dry river sand at bottom & top of the cable with 75mm thick layer, covering with ‘A’ class burnt red bricks at sides and on top (approximate 18 bricks per meter) for protection of cables back filling the cable trench after laying of cables with good soil and ramming. Supply of LT power cables, sand, bricks and cable tag are in the contractor’s scope. Wherever the cable trench crosses the road, the contractor shall make good the damages in the road during excavation work including back filling the trench with excavated earth and laying of above bricks of at least 2 layers on the road at no extra cost.The contractor shall also provide cable jack and shaft/turn table at site to facilitated cable laying at no extra cost. Contractor shall provide 2 mm thick, 25mm wide and 100mm long aluminium cable tag at the regular interval of 25 meter through out the length of underground laid cable, UWD shall provide cable identification number to the contractor and same shall be suitably punched on the above cable tag and fix it on laid cable with Al. wire/nylon rope of suitable size at no extra cost. All the corners of Al. cable tag shall be suitably filed in such a manner so as to avoid any sharp edges at no extra cost. Any damage done by contractor during the execution of work shall be made good by the contractor at no-extra cost. Before fixing/laying the materials contractor shall have to get it approved from UWD's concern Engineer/In-charge before fixing/installation/laying the materials.The make of the cable shall be of National/KEI/ Universal/Gloster/I Polycab / Nicco /Finolex make (51.7) 3 ½ core × 70 sqmm
