i) Drying of the Joint Coal Samples received from SCCL Talcher mines and Karaikal Port, reduction of quantity by coning and quartering Crushing/grinding and preparation of final samples at fuel Laboratory, Cleaning and disposal of Waste. ii) Collection of Pulverised coal samples from Mills iii) Collection of Lubrication oil samples from MOT, BFP, Mill, other oil samples etc. iv) Collection of LDO, HFO & HSD samples. V) Collection of DM Water for analysis Work.

(i) Collection of Raw water and cooling water samples from forebay & clarifier (ii) Collection of SH Water, feed water& stator water, CBD samples. (iii) Dosing of Chemicals like Alum, Poly Electrolyte, organophosphonate at pre-treatment plant and Cold Lime Softener Room iv) Withdrawal of fine & bulk chemicals from stores, unloading of bulk chemicals at site, Sample Collection. v) Preparation of the Test Instruments. (vi) Cleaning of the instruments, Glassware’s, Laboratory Desks after testing and up keeping of the Main Lab. vii) Cleaning of chemical spillages in working premises then there for the safety precaution of hazardous chemicals. viii) Daily cleaning of entire huge area of ground floor and first floor of Chemical Division ix) Cleaning of Boiler feed water laboratory stage I& II, DM Plant stage I & II, Cooling water pre-treatment chemical storage area.

i)Dosing of Chemicals like Ammonia, Hydrazine, Phosphate in Feed Water. (ii) Collection of SH Water, feed water& stator water, MCP, Deaerator, CBD, SS water samples round the clock basis.(iii) Collection of flue gas samples and Hydrogen gas samples in each unit, dosing of boiler water chemicals in ‘0’ m level chemical dosing tank & CST and collection of hydrogen gas samples for moisture test in all the four Units.
