Supplying of specified nursery grown trees Conocarpous of height 180 cm to 240 cm ( 6 feet to 8 feet) in good healthy green condition without affected by termites, decease etc., for planting inside Port premises all as directed at site of work, including, transporting to site, stacking and including all materials, labour, tools, fuel, transport, loading and unloading etc. complete Note: 1). The Tenderer shall quote the rate for one tree. 2). The plants shall not have the following characters, i).) Broken stem off or primary roots. iI). Bark skinned off or easily rubs. iii). Dried out roots 3). The saplings will be inspected at the time of delivery at the premises of Chennai Port before acceptance. 4). The rejected saplings shall be removed immediately from the Port premises by the contractor. 5). During the contract period if any tree plants found dried the same shall be replaced with new one to match the age of adjacent plant at the contractor's own cost. 6). lf the contractor fails to replace the plant as above, the cost of the planting new saplings will be recovered 3 times of rate quoted per plant and such deficiency will reflect in the performance of the contractor. 7). Planting of Conocarpous tree sapling and supporting it with a sturdy stake, put in to the pit by the side of the sapling and tied to it including conveying, mixing and filling of Top soil mix in the ratio of 2:2:1 of red earth, river silt /Savudu and cattle manure with all pesticides, fungicides, nutrients and plant growth regulators etc., and all additives/m3 of top soil mix, coco peat with all pesticides, fungicides, nutrients and plant growth regulators etc., all as directed at site including all labour, tools, transport and fuel etc., complete., Note: 1) Earthwork excavation, Supply of red earth, river silt / Savudu, cattle manure, all Additives and tree saplings will be measured and paid Separately under relevant item. 2) Rate including Transporting of red earth, river silt / Savudu, manure all Additives and tree saplings from stock yard to site by using tractors to various places inside the harbour premises with in a lead of 3km, mixing, filling etc., 3) The Spacing shall be as per site Requirement. 4) The planting period is 3 months 5) Watering to the planted tree saplings till the completion of planting period (3 months) and after completion of planting of 2000 Nos of Conocarpous the watering to the tree saplings (365 days) will be measured and paid Separately under relevant item. Water will be supplied at free of cost by Port Authority. 6) All the materials such as manures, fertilizers, pesticides and fungicides, bioorganic substrates, hormones, etc., required for the maintaining the tree plant healthy shall be taken care by the contractor. 7) Removing of unwanted weeds & vegetation around the saplings done periodically till the completion of maintenance period 8) Scheduled application of inorganic fertilizers and manures of the plants as per requirement. 9) Bi-annual application of organic bio-fertilizer for sustainable nutrient supply. 10) Spraying of pesticides and fungicides as per the seasonal influence.

8. Providing water tanker of 5000 litres / 6000 litres/10,000 litres capacity for item No.9 (b) of BOQ and any capacity for item No.9 (a) for Collecting water from the sources allotted by the department (within a lead of 5Kms) transporting and watering to each plant / tree basins in the required stretches wherever required or as directed in the Port premises including filling the water tanker by pumping of water from the designated wells / sources all as directed at site of work including all labour, tools, plants, equipments, fuel, water tanker /or PVC Sintex tank fitted lorry with motor pump and other accessories required for pouring water for tree saplings etc., complete Note: i) Watering at 15 lit / plant for 3 days per week at the time of plantation period of 3 months. ii). Watering at 15 lit / plant for 3 days per week during the maintenance period of 365 days. iii) Water will be provided at free of cost by the Port. The tenderer should arrange to fill the tank through pump. The contractor shall engage vehicle for watering works to the plants/tree saplings. The work shall commence at 08.00 AM and completed before 5.00PM.The work shall be carried out in all Chennai port working days (except Sundays and holidays) The contract /maintenance period is 365 days. iv)The Copy of RC book, insurance documents shall be submitted at the time of taking over site/ commencement of work v) One Water tanker lorry / PVC sintex water tank fitted lorry shall be engaged for watering and additional trips may have to be made in the event of emergency. The plants/tree saplings as directed as and when required. vi).The quantity of one load means one tanker load of water of 5000 litres / 6000 litres / 10,000 litres capacity including pouring the water on saplings no payment will be made for part load. vii). The engagement of tankers may be curtailed according to the requirement as directed by the department at site due to the reasons like rain, climatic condition etc., complete. viii). The contractor shall maintain trip sheets in triplicate format as approved by the department representative for pouring water. Payment is based on trip sheets certified by the department representative. ix). The contractor shall take proper care to avoid any dislocation to the movement of other vehicles and other activities in the roads. x). Seawater shall not be used for watering the plants. xi). The no of trips may vary from minimum 2 loads to maximum of 4 loads. No of loads may increased (or) decreased accordingly to the requirement at site condition. a). Watering at 15 lit / plant for 3 days per week at the time of plantation period of 3 months.

The applicable GST on the taxable value of supply goods or services or both covered in this work will be paid by Port as re-imbursement on production of documentary evidences / reflection of the same under the GSTIN of ChPA in the GST web portal. 3. The day-to-day work shall be carried out as per the instruction of the Chief Engineer or his representatives at site. 4. The contractor shall get the approval of the materials before using them on the works, 7.1f performance of the contractor is not satisfactory (or) not up to the exception of the Chief Engineer (or) his representative, the contract will be terminated for the payment of any will be made proportionately for the period worked. 8. The contract period will be 3 Months for planting of 1634 Nos of conocarpous inside Port and 116 Nos of Gulmohar, 150 Nos of Ellippai, 100 Nos of pungam tree saplings at T.H.colony for 365 days maintenance period considered for watering and maintaining good growth of the plants. 9.
