NS-2 - Picking up stone ballast (new and retrieved) and loading & leading from the stacks made along the alignment of the track and spreading thereof uniformly on the formation in 2 stages as per standard profile, dressing and boxing, including all lift, ascent, descent, crossing of nallah or any other obstruction etc. and specified leads with contractor's own labour Tools & Plants, equipments, consumables etc. as per special condition of contract and as directed by Engineer-in- charge. Notes:- Inter se variation in quantity between item (a) & (b) above is permissible and shall be considered within the scope of work."

NS-2 - Two rounds of through packing including boxing and dressing and to provide required ballast cushion of 150mm/200mm/250mm/300mm/ 350mm and stipulated profile for 3 LWR/SWR curve/single rails as per IRPWM/LWR manual as directed by the Engineer incharge including first and second packing at required interval including squaring of sleeper, ensuring correct spacing, gauge, alignment, longitudinal and cross levels with boxing etc complete to bring the track to required tolerances so as to make the track fit for the speed of 50KMPH including all lead lift, handing & rehandling etc of track and points and crossing under working traffic conditions or on newly laid track as a complete job : For BG track with 52Kg/60Kg/ 90R20/10/3 rail panels/ single rails/ LWR rails on PRC/ wooden sleepers etc.

NS-4 - - Consolidation of track by one or more round of DGS track machine including all 4 labour for pre run, post run operation of DGS machine & tightening of fittings & fastenings etc. The diesel, cotton waste will be provided by the contractor and all other consumables and repair to machine will be arranged by Railway. Railways will provide DGS machine and crew free of cost. Other labour for working with DGS for pre / during and post run activities shall be provided by contractor

NS-5 - Loading and leading of stone ballast from the stacks and spreading / putting thereof into the track to make good the deficiency at different locations including all handling / 5 rehandling, ascent, descent, crossing of track, nallah, dressing and boxing to make standard ballast profile with contractor's own labour, T & P and consumables, as per direction of Engineer in charge or his authorized representative. Lead shall be measured along the alignment. The item includes Putting, spreading, dressing and boxing of the ballast as a complete item, for which nothing extra shall be paid.

NS-6 - Tamping of track, turnouts, trap points laid on BG PSC sleepers on main/loop line with railways tamping machine including Pre Tamping and Post tamping attention to the track as per the instructions laid down in the Indian Railway Track Machine Manual, after each round of 6 tamping of the track by on Track tampers, with contractor's own labour and T & P. Railway will provide tie tamping machine, Hydraulic oil, grease, lube oil and crew free of cost. Diesel, cotton waste, re- conditioning of tamping tools will be provided by contractor at his own cost. All labour required for pre-tamping, post tamping and during tamping operations shall be provided by the contractor at his own cost. Work is to be carried out as per special conditions of contract and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

- NS-7 - Supplying, fabricating and erecting in position dead ends, including two coats 7 of painting as per approved drawing and as directed by Engineer-in-charge with contractors own labour, plant, equipment and machinery. Rails and fishplates, bolts and nuts will be supplied by Railways free of cost. The rates shall be inclusive of carting of rails from and within respective station yard & fishplates, bolts and nuts from JE/SSE/C/P- Way store depot.

NS-8 - Making the reference posts for curves, LWR, Creep, points & crossing etc. of required size from the Railway's unserviceable rails, transportation to site, painting (one coat of red oxide and two coats of enamel paint) and fixing in concrete of suitable size along the track with 8 contractor's own paints, tools &plants, equipments, consumables, labourers etc. inclusive of excavation, concreting all lift and lead, transportation arrangements, taxes etc. complete as per special conditions of contract and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:-Excavation of foundation and concreting in foundation will be paid separately under relevant USSOR items. This item will not operate for new SEJ.

NS-9 - Providing and fixing of Gumti for NI/PNI period in station yards at different locations as per requirement of traffic department, Gumti will be erected at dressed level surface with waterproof tarpaulin size minimum 10 feet x 10 feet and bottom flooring to be covered by tarpaulin. 9 All side of Gumti to be foldable if required. Following men and material listed below will be provided by the contractor. The safety and security of Gumti have to be ensured by the contractor as a complete job. List of man and material for one Gumti (One Gumati = One Set). 1.Unskilled labour= 2 Nos. 2. Gumti = 1 No. 3.Table 3x2 feet = 1 4. Office chair = 2 Nos. 5.Stool = 2 Nos. 6.Bucket = 1 No. 7.Mug = 1 No.

NS-10 - " Providing and fixing along the railway track Hectometer/ Km/ gradient post and fouling marks in M-25 grade RCC and M-10 grade base concrete as per Railway drawings with 10 contractor's own cement, steel, aggregate, water, tools and plants, equipments, consumables, laborers etc., inclusive of all lift & lead, taxes, royalties etc. complete as per special conditions of contract and as directed by Engineer-in-charge" - Boundary pillar Note:- Deduction will be made @ Rs. 171.04 Each quantity, if painting and lettering is not done.

- NS-11 - Preparation of Ballast Bed on existing track/turnout location in following sequence of work for dismantled track/Turnout. Note :- 1. Removing the upper layer loosened ballast 11 with rake ballast and Ploughing of remaining caked up ballast available in existing BG track.2. Takingout of loosened ballast by rake ballast & salvaging the same. 3. Spreading the loosened caked up ballast in specified width & leveling the same,removing undulation, breaking clods etc. to prepare sub ballast bed.4. Putting in the new ballast on the already prepared formation bed to achieve a clean ballast bed of 350mm (Min.) thickness. (Payment for Putting in new ballast will be made separately under relevant NS item). 5. All above listed work are to be done as per instruction of Engineer in charge.

NS-12 - Fabrication "IN SITU" Glued insulated joints of G-3 (L) Type for 60Kg rails as per RDSO Drawing No. T-2572 and confirming to the specification as per instructions contained in manual for Glued insulated rails joints. This item is inclusive of cost of all fittings and accessories such 12 as -a-Long fish plates, b-HTS bolts & nuts, c-Punch washer, d-Insulated bushes, e-Insulated channels, f-6 mm thick end posts, g-Glue hardener, h-Glass cloth carrier and all the materials and fittings for cleaning and assembling, excluding rail, i-any other fittings and accessories required to fabricate, "In Situ glued joint" in all respect as per RDSO Drawing No.T-2572 and specification contained in manual for in situ glued joint.

NS-13 - Through Rail Renewal of BG running track 60Kg/52 Kg/90R on PSC Sleeper 1540/1660 nos per KM by 60Kg /52 Kg Rails in panel up to 10/20 Rail panel by manually with contractor's own tools and equipment as per IRPWM. This will include dismantling of existing Rail 13 60Kg/52 Kg/90R in SR/SWR/LWR including lead, loading, unloading and proper placing of released Rails upto a distance of 150m as per direction of Engineer-in- charge, pulling/ pairing of Rails including leading of 10/20 Rail panel upto 150m, recoupment of missing defective fitting and removing jammed ERC if required and greasing of ERC's etc. complete. All new/released fittings will be lead by contractor at his own cost from depot of concerned SSE/JE's depot or any other nominated suitable place to site of work and vice versa as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. Nothing shall be paid extra for leading of new panels upto 150m.

NS-14 - Providing chaukidar at various location in section for look after the material at nominated depot decided by engineer in charge for 3 shifts/day with all labour expenses complete. Note - Rate covers the charges of 03 watchman per day/month at one location.
