"Excavation of cable trench as per cable route plan, 1 Mtr. deep and of 0.3 Mtr. to 0.6 Mtr. wide at bottom as per RDSO sketch No. SDO/CABLE LAYING/003 or latest alongside the track in hard soil, conforming to distances as per cable route plan and refilling. This work includes clearing of route from bushes etc., covering of cable laid in trench by loose soil for a layer of 50mm thickness approximately before covering by bricks. The work 5 shall be done as per the extant practice on Eastern Railway and instructions of Railway Engineer at site. Note:-(a) for all trenches from distant signal to home signal and to relay room, the minimum headway above the uppermost cable in the trench should be 600mm. If due to a large no. of cables headway is not available, 4"" of 1:2:4 concreting should be done. Note:-(b-1) payment will be made as per actual work done on pro-rata basis, if required depth is not available at site.(b-2) if the depth of trench is not uniform in a span of 100 mtr. Or shorter lengths if site condition demands along the cable run, minimum depth will be taken for that particular stretch for payment. "

Supply, transportation at site and installation of RCC cable route marker engraved and painted on both side along the route at every 50 meter and at route diversion. The cable route marker is to be fabricated as per RDSO drawing No RDSO/SI/G/2010 Version 1.1 dated 04.02.2014 or latest. The fixing work is to be done as per extent practice of E.Rly and as per Railway site supervisor Inspection : Consignee

Laying of Signalling/Telecom /Power / Quad/ OFC cable of different size through DWC/GI/HDPE 7 pipe in the Trench with protective work as per instruction of site engineer as per railway practice, it includes fixing of cable on wall with suitable clamps(the clamps and screws should be made of Stainless steel). All the fixing materials including Coller, bend, junction etc. shall be supplied by the contractor. (Cable, DWC/GI/HDPE pipe will be supplied by the Railway and shall be transported from store to site by the contractor).

"Cutting of concrete platform to a depth of 200 mm and width of 100 mm to lay DATA/POWER/Telecom cable through DWC Pipe of 63/50 mm dia. Contractor has to redress the cutting place into its original position without destroying the beauty after cable laying. This includes supply of DWC pipe of 63/50 mm dia. of IS: 14930 Pt-II mark. (Cable will be supplied by the Railway)"

a) Installation of Unit Maintenance Free Earth as supplied in above item. which includes the following -(i) Digging/Auguring/Boring of single earth pit of 100mm to 125mm dia to the depth of approx. 2.8meter. (ii) Insertion of 3m electrode and penetrating it atleast 0.2m by pushing gently with sludge hammer where the natural soil is assumed.(iii) Filling of earth pit with Earth Enhancement Compound (EEC) in slurry form and backfilling.(iv) Carrying out exothermic welding connection on single earth electrode to a copper tape of 150x25x6mm.(v) Carrying out exothermic weld connection on the copper tape of 150x25x6mm on Earth Electrode for connecting two 35 Sq mm copper cables for redundancy.(vi) The exothermic welding material for bonding the 22 earth system shall be procured from RDSO approved firms, which includes graphite moulds, clamps, weld metal powders.(vii) 300x300x300 mm (inside dimension) concrete Earth Pit with a concrete lid, approx 50mm thick with pulling hooks, shall be provided to cover the pit. Back side of the cover will be painted in black and date of the testing and average resistance value shall be written.b) (i) Digging a trench to a depth of atleast 0.5m and run the two 35sq mm copper conductor from Earth pit to MEEB.(ii) Routing and termination of two 35sq mm copper conductors in trench from earth pit to 300X25X6mm MEEB, which is to be fixed inside the equipment room with two insulation studs.c) Routing and connecting of all SPDs in the equipment room to MEEB with 16sq.mm. copper cable using copper lugs with stainless nuts and bolts.d) Routing and connecting of all the equipment in the equipment/relay room to MEEB/SEEB with 10sq.mm.copper cable using copper lugs with stainless steel nut, bolts and fixures. This work includes laying and routing of copper cable in PVC pipes/conduits and fixing them on walls.

Fixing of earth electrode including laying and installation of MS flat of size 35 mm x 6 mm with length 5 mtr or as per extant practice of Eastern Railway. As per CSTE/ER'S DRG. NO. S&T 1/2007 for apparatus cases, signal post & other equipment as per instruction of site engineer. Provision for fixing MS flat at apparatus 22 cases/ signal post/other equipment should be made by the firm at site. Full threaded bolts of 10 mm dia and length 40 mm should be welded in the apparatus cases in such way that the MS flat at apparatus case end can be fixed from outside or from inside. Welding arrangement with accessories and welding materials should be arranged by the contractor for fixing of bolts at equipment end where required as per instruction of site engineer. All hardware and other miscellaneous materials required for installation to be supplied by the contractor except earth electrodes and MS flat. Note: -all materials required to be arranged by the contractor except 2 core cable will be supplied by the railway.
