Available Bid capacity = (AxNxM-B) Where: A = Maximum value of engineering (civil/electrical/mechanical as relevant to work being procured) works executed in any one year during the last five years N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the works for which bids are invited M = Multiplying factor (usually 1.5) B = Value (updated to the current price level of the year indicated in appendix) of existing commencements and on-going works to be completed during the next ‘N’ years. Additionally, other requirements are: - Annual Turnover: Minimum annual turnover with a multiplier of 2 (or not less than 1.5 for very large contracts) - Particular Construction Experience: Completion of similar works with values of 40%, 50%, or 80% of the estimated cost - Key Production Rates: Achievement of minimum annual production value of key construction activities - Performance Security: 5% of the contract value - Earnest Money/Bid Security: specific details not provided, but should be in the shape of CDR/FDR/BG. - Minimum Turnover from the last three years shall be at least Rs. 2.40 Crs. - The bidder shall also furnish details of other civil works of similar nature executed and completed in any Govt. or Semi Govt. department during the last 7 years - The bidder will be able to invest a minimum cash up to 25% of contract value of work, during implementation of work.
