The required prior work experience for the bidder includes achieving a minimum annual financial turnover of the annual value of the contract applied for in any one year over the last five years. Additionally, the bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. The works should be at least 90% completed. The value of similar works completed should be at least 40% of the proposed contract value. The bidder is also required to submit a certificate from the employer incorporating relevant information. The percentage of completion should be at least 90%. The bidder is also required to invest a minimum cash up to 25% of the value of the work during implementation of the contract. Furthermore, the bidder will be penalized with a 20 percent deduction, representing the Employer's additional cost for completing the Works, for the value of the work not completed. The amount to be withheld for failing to supply "as-built" drawings is Rs. 2.00 Lakhs.
