The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having completed works of a similar nature over the last five years, with the bidder having at least 5 years of experience. The bidder should have availability of personnel with adequate experience, history of completing similar works, and substantially completed works (at least 90% completed). The value and percentage of similar works completed are mentioned as follows: - The bidder should have completed works with a value of at least 90% of the original contract price.
- The bidder should have access to liquid assets and/or credit facilities up to 25% of the value of the contract/contracts applied.
- For joint ventures, the lead partner should meet not less than 50% of all criteria, and the joint venture must collectively satisfy the criteria.
- The experience of the other joint venture partners shall be considered if it is not less than 30% of the qualifying criteria.
- The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover, defined as billing for works in progress and completed in all classes of civil engineering construction works, of the annual value of the contract or contracts applied for in any one year over the last five years.
- The bidder should also have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years.
- Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90 percent completed as on the date of submission, with the gross value of work done up to the last date of submission being 90 percent or more of the original contract price. Specific values mentioned include:
