The required prior work experience for the bidder includes work performed as a prime contractor or nominated sub-contractor, with execution of all main items of work described in the bid document. The experience should be in the last five years and in the current year before the submission of the bid. The bidder should provide information on the quantities of work executed, including cement concrete, masonry, earthworks, and bituminous work, as well as the value of contracts completed, with amounts in Indian Rupees (Rs. Crore). For individual bidders, the total value of civil engineering constructions performed in the last five years should be at least 20 (in Rs. Lakhs). The bidder should also have completed substantially completed works, which means those works that are at least 90% completed as on the date of submission. The bidder should have completed at least 90% of the original contract price for substantially completed works. Additionally, the bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of the annual value of the contract applied for in any one year over the last five years. The bidder should also have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. A specific percentage of 20 per cent is mentioned, representing the Employer's additional cost for completing the Works, in case the work is not completed.
