The bid capacity required in the given tender can be calculated using the formula: Assessed Available Bid capacity = (A*N*M - B), where A : Maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last 5 years. N : 1, if Completion time is more than 6 months, N:0.5 if completion time is less than equal to six months. M : 3 B : Value, at the current price level, of existing commitments and on-going works to be completed during the period of completion of the works for which bids are invited. Additionally, the bid capacity required to bid for this tender is having a value of at least the Earnest Money amount, which can be calculated using the formula: Earnest Money = 2% of Estimated Amount put to Tender or Rs 10 Lakh, whichever is lower. The bidder must also fulfill the Security Deposit requirement of 10% of the value of works executed, which can be calculated using the formula: Security Deposit = 10% of the value of works executed. Furthermore, the bidder must have completed at least one work of similar nature in a single contract as a prime contractor within last five years from the date of issue of this NIT, value of which is not less than 40% of the amount put to tender, which can be calculated using the formula: Value of similar work ≥ 0.4 * Amount put to tender.
