The required prior work experience for the bidder includes: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender. - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender. - One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. For composite works, the tenderer must have successfully completed or substantially completed: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. - One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. In case of subletting, the subcontractor must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. The tenderer must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during last 07 (seven) years. Specifically, for the similar nature of the work: Rail welding with contractor's own flash butt welding plant Or Any track work, the tenderer should own at least one MFBW plant in the tendering firm's name which should be in working condition and fit to be deployed for the tendered work exclusively.
