The required prior work experience for the bidder is related to the credentials and technical qualifications. The bidder should have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed, with a value of not less than 35% of the work to be subcontracted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. The tenderer must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during last 07 (seven) years: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 30% of advertised value of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of advertised value of the tender, (iii) One similar work each costing not less than the amount equal to 60% of advertised value of the tender. In case of tenders for composite works, the tenderer must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during last 07 (seven) years: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 30% of advertised value of each component of tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of advertised value of each component of tender, (iii) One similar work each costing not less than the amount equal to 60% of advertised value of each component of tender. The overall cost of the completed work, including the price variation (if paid), shall be considered for fulfillment of technical credentials. For example, the credentials of partner A will be considered to the extent of 0.3*0.2*value of the work done in the previous entity, and the credentials of a partnership firm shall be re-worked out to Rs 6 crore from Rs 10 crore if a partner quits. The value of similar works is considered, for example, Rs 10 crore and Rs 6 crore in the given instances. The amount for tenderer credentials is 2% of the estimated cost of the work for works up to ₹1 crore, and ₹2 lakh plus ½% of the excess of the estimated cost of work beyond ₹1 crore, subject to a maximum of ₹1 crore.
