The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed. The bidder should also have personnel with adequate experience as required. Additionally, for works with a value of 90% or more of the original contract price, a certificate from the employer shall be submitted. The bidder should have access to or have available liquid assets and/or credit facilities up to 25 percent of the value of the contract/contracts applied. The bidder must have a minimum annual financial turnover, defined as billing for works in progress and completed in all classes of civil engineering construction works, of at least the annual value of the contract applied for in any one year over the last five years.
