The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in similar works, specifically in civil engineering constructions. The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover, in any one year, over the last five years, of the annual value of contract/contracts applied for. They should also have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed as on the date of submission, with a gross value of work done up to the last date of submission being 90% or more of the original contract price. The value and percentage of similar works completed include: - At least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract - At least 90% completed as on the date of submission - A gross value of work done up to the last date of submission being 90% or more of the original contract price - The bidder investing a minimum of 25% of the value of the work during the implementation of the contract Additionally, the bidder should provide information on their existing commitments and ongoing works, including the value of contract, stipulated period of completion, value of works remaining to be completed, and anticipated date of completion. The Employer's additional cost for completing the works is 20 per cent.
