The required prior work experience for the bidder includes: - A Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in road works. - A Diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience in road works. - A Surveyor with a minimum of 2 years of experience in road works. - A Lab Assistant with a minimum of 2 years of experience in road works. The bidder should have experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years. The value of road work completed by the bidder under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in the originally stipulated period of completion shall be counted as 120% for the purpose of this sub-clause. The bidder should have completed similar works with a value of up to 5 Cr, 5-10 Cr, or greater than 10 Cr. The bidder's available bid capacity for construction work should be equal to or more than the total bid value excluding maintenance. The assessed available bid capacity is calculated based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the price level of the last year at the rate of 8 percent a year. The bidder should have experience in works of a similar nature and size, with a value of at least 100% of the contract value. The bid security amount is Rs. 4.81 lakh, which is 2 percent of the estimated value of the works, rounded off to the nearest thousand. Subcontracting is allowed for components of the Works for construction/up-gradation, aggregating to not more than 25 percent of the Contract Price.
