Although, Independent Living Settings Are Predominantly The Living Choice Of Older People, Such Accommodation Benefits A Range Of Care And Support Needs Inclusive Of Other Ageing Adults, Including Those With Mental Health Needs, Learning Disabilities, Physical And Sensory Disabilities. Provision May Include, Where Required Palliative And End Of Life Care And Support As Well As Supporting Those Living With Dementia. This Type Of Housing Is Intended To Support Independence, Enabling Individuals To Do Things Themselves Rather Than Things Been Done On Behalf Of Them. In Delivering The Service Every Opportunity Should Be Taken To Optimise Individuals' Capacity To Carry Out Tasks Themselves, Fostering An Ethos Of Autonomy.
