The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing similar works during the last 07 years. The bidder must have completed one of the following: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, - One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. For subcontractors, they shall have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% value of work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of subcontractor shall be asked for. The value of similar works completed is considered for calculating the available bid capacity. A work is considered substantially completed if payment equal to or more than 90% of the present contract value has been made to the contractor. The cost of substantially completed work is the total gross amount already paid, including the PVC amount. The bidder needs to submit a certificate containing information about the date of award of contract, date of actual physical completion of work, and details of copy of documents attached in support of completion of above similar single work. The certificate should have been issued not prior to 60 days of the date of invitation of the present tender. The required prior work experience for the bidder is also evaluated based on the maximum value of construction works executed and payment received in any one of the previous three financial years or the current financial year. For fulfilment of the work experience requirement, a Work Experience Certificate issued by a Govt. Department/Organisation or a Public listed company with an average annual turnover of Rs 500 Crore and above in the last 3 financial years is considered.
