General Procurement Notice Chinahunan Integrated Management Of Agricultural Land Pollution Projectloan No.8777-chaproject Id: P153115 The Government Of China Has Applied For Financing In The Amount Of Us$100 Million Equivalent From The World Bank Toward The Cost Of The Hunan Integrated Management Of Agricultural Land Pollution Project, And It Intends To Apply Part Of The Proceeds To Payments For Goods, Works, Related Services And Consulting Services To Be Procured Under This Project. The Project Will Include The Following Components 1. Demonstration Of Risk-based Agricultural Land Pollution Management Which Aims To Demonstrate The Risk-based Approach To Reducing Heavy Metal Levels In Crops And Soil At Demonstration Areas. It Will Finance Implementation Of Site-specific Demonstration Plans At The Selected Farmland Sofa Bout 8,000 Ha In Participating Counties. 2. Strengthening Agricultural Environmental Monitoring And Management. This Component Aims To Improve Aem And Management Capacity To Orderly, Precisely, And Sustainably Manage Agricultural Land Pollution In Hunan. 3. Capacity Development And Knowledge Dissemination. This Component Aims To: (i) Develop Management And Technical Capacity Of Government Officials, Environmental Monitoring Staff, And Farmers, As Well As Heavy Metal Discharging Enterprises For Addressing Agricultural Land Pollution; And (ii) Disseminate Knowledge Gained From Demonstrations For Increasing Awareness And Building Ability To Make Informed Choices Among Alternatives. 4. Project Management And Monitoring And Evaluation. This Component Will Support Day-to-day Project Implementation, Procurement, Financial Management (fm), Environmental And Social Safeguards Functions Carried Out By The Provincial/county-level Project Management Agencies; Coordination And Collaboration Among All The Stakeholders. This Component Will Also Finance A Project Management Information System, Hiring National Technical Consultants, Training And Study Tours, Monitoring And Evaluation (m&e) Of The Project Indicators And Outcomes, And The Project Launch And Completion Workshops. Contract Hnz001, Development Of A Risk-based Land Management Tool And Crop/soil Risk Mapping Will Be Procured Through Quality -based Selection (qbs) Method. Procurement Of Contracts Financed By The World Bank Will Be Conducted Through The Procedures As Specified In The World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement Under Ibrd Loans And Ida Credits& Grants By World Bank Borrowers (current Edition), And Is Open To All Eligible Bidders As Defined In The Guidelines.
