The bid capacity required in the given tender to bid can be calculated using the formula: Assessed Available Bid capacity = (A x N x 1.5 - B) Where: A = Maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years (updated to the price level of the financial year at the rate of 5% per year) N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the works for which bids are invited B = Value, at the current price level, of existing commitments on on-going works to be completed during the period of completion of the works for which bids are invited Additionally, the bidder should have a minimum annual financial turnover in civil engineering construction work of 1.5 times the value of the project being bid, which is calculated as 1.5 times of the Package value. The available bid capacity should be equal to or more than the total bid value of the work, which is 80% of the Package value. Formulas: 1. Minimum Annual Turnover = 1.5 * Package Value 2. Liquid Assets Requirement = 0.5 * Package Value Given values: 1. 1.5 times of the Package value = Rs. 941.01 Lakhs 2. 50% of the Package value = Rs. 313.67 Lakhs 3. 80% of the Package value = Rs. 501.87 Lakhs The bid capacity required includes: - A minimum annual financial turnover of Rs.941.01 Lakhs in civil engineering construction work. - Availability of liquid assets or credit facilities of at least Rs.313.67 Lakhs.
