1. This Rfp Is Open To All Interested Vendors. 2. The City Of Calgary, On Behalf Of The Calgary Fire Department, Is Seeking A Supplier Who Can Supply And Deliver Fire Engines (schedule 1) And Rescue Apparatus (schedule 2) To Provide Growth And Replacement Of Existing Fleet. The City Intends To Purchase Five (5) Fire Engines Per Year Over The Next Nine (9) Years For A Total Of Forty-five (45) Fire Engines (more Or Less). There May Also Be Approximately Ten To Twenty (10-20) Rescue Apparatus Purchased Over The Life Of This Contract. Quantities May Vary Depending On Available Budget And Operational Requirements. Upon Award, The City Will Order Five (5) Engines For Delivery Within Two (2) Years. 3. This Procurement Process Is Not Intended To Create, And Will Not Create A Formal, Legally Binding Bidding Process. It Will Instead Be Governed By The Law Applicable To Direct Commercial Negotiations. 4. The Initial Agreement Will Be For A Term Of Five (5) Years, And It May Be Renewed One (1) Time For Four (4) Years, For A Potential Maximum Term Of Nine (9) Years.
