The required prior work experience for the bidder varies based on the category and value of the work. There are five types of work categories: A, B, C, D, and E. For type B, the work costs more than ₹ 100 Crores and up to ₹ 300 Crore, and the bidder should have completed one similar work of ₹ 60 Crore or more, or two similar works of each costing ₹ 40 Cr. or more, or three similar works of each costing ₹ 30 Cr. or more. For type C, the work costs more than ₹ 50 Crores and up to ₹ 100 Crore, and the bidder should have completed one similar work of ₹ 30 Crore or more, or two similar works of each costing ₹ 20 Cr. or more, or three similar works of each costing ₹ 15 Cr. or more. For type D, the work costs more than ₹ 20 Crore and up to ₹ 50 Crore, and the bidder should have completed one similar work of ₹ 12 Crore or more, or two similar works of each costing ₹ 8.0 Cr. or more, or three similar works of each costing ₹ 6.0 Cr. or more. For type E, the work costs up to ₹ 20 Crore, and the bidder should have completed one similar work of ₹ 6.0 Crore or more, or two similar works of each costing ₹ 4.0 Cr. or more, or three similar works of each costing ₹ 3.0 Cr. or more. The firm should also ensure a financial status of 0.35V (where V is the value estimated tender value) or 0.35Q (where Q is the total quantity of the main key activity involved in the work).
