Construction of sub-grade and earthen shoulders with approved material (Granular material having CBR not less than 7) obtained from borrow pits with all lifts and leads, transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacted to meet requirement of Table 300.2 as per Technical Specification Clause 303.1.For Item No.3.12(a) & (b)

Tack coat Providing and applying tack coat with Bitumen emulsion (RS-1) using emulsion distributor at the rate of 0.25 to 0.30 kg per sqm on the prepared dry and hungry bituminous surface cleaned with Hydraulic broom as per Technical Specification Clause 503.

Pre-mix carpet using bituminous (penetration grade modified bitumen) binder Providing, laying and rolling of open-graded premix carpet of 20 mm thickness composed of aggregate 13.2mm size (passing 22.4mm size sieve & retained on 11.2mm sieve and 11.2mm size (passing 13.2mm sieve and retained on 5.6mm sieve) either using penetration grade bitumen or emulsion to required line, grade and level to serve as wearing course on a previously prepared base, including mixing in a suitable plant, laying and rolling with a three wheel 80-100 kN static roller capacity, finished to required level and grades to be followed by seal coat of either Type A or Type B or Type C as per Technical Specification Clause 508.

Seal Coat Providing and laying seal coat sealing the voids in a bituminous surface laid to the specified levels, grade and cross fall using Type A, Type B and Type C as per Technical Specification Clause 510

11.15 Repair old joints sealant Removal of existing sealant and re sealing of construction, longitudinal or expansion joints in concrete pavement with fresh sealant material
