Design, supply, installation, testing & commissioning of Central AC Plant including water pump sets cooling towers, hot water generators, ducting and electrical connection suitable for 3 phase AC supply Chilled water system 2 x 17 TR or nearest higher available capacity working and 1 x 17 TR or nearest higher available capacity standby for SES Bldg and other items as required for satisfactory performance of the plant complete in all respect and all as specified in respective drawings to achieve the inside designed conditions as per Annexure 'I' enclosed here-in-after.
Note 1 :-
(a) Contractor/ bidder are advised to visit the site to check the desired inside design conditions carefuly and submit the bid only after ascertaining the capacity of the AC plant required to achieve the inside design conditions.
(b) Contractor/ bidder should submit complete design for the Central AC plant comprising of heat load calculations, working drawings of complete AC plant supported with design/calculations of each component duly vetted by IIT/NIT within two months of the date of commencement of work through GE for the approval of HQ CE (AF) Shillong Zone before execution of the work.
(c) Contractor/bidder will be responsible for performance guarantee of complete AC plant to achieve the inside design conditions round the clock throughout the year with overall COP of the system not less than 3.
(d) Design, Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of Chilled water Central Airconditioning system shall be undertaken through Manufacturers/Specialist Firms.
Note 2 :- Rates quoted by the contractor shall be complete finished work including cost of all labour, material, scaffolding, finishing as required with tools, plants, cartage, lift, taxes, tollage, octroi, royalties etc. All works shall be executed as per drawings and instructions of Site-in-charge and shall be include the supply and installation at site of all the equipment, ancillary materials as specified and all such items what-so-ever which may be required to fulfil the intent and purpose as laid down in the drawings. All materials shall be duly approved by Site-in-Charge before incorporating in the actual work.
Note 3 :- Rates quoted by the contractor shall deemed to be including for Manning and Operation of AC Plant during the period of seasonal tests.

Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of maintenance free (four spikes) chemical earthing system using 17.2mm dia, 3000mm long (drawn vertically) high tensile low carbon steel circular rod, molecularly bonded with copper on outer surface (minimum copper bonding thickness of 250 microns) meeting the requirements of under writers laboratories (UL) 467-2007 or latest with 250mm long copper strips of size (50X3)mm, exothermally welded on top of electrode complete including augering (boring) 100-125mm dia hole as required for electrode in any type of soil and back filling with combination of two chemical compounds carbon based ground enhancing compound (GEC) compound (with minimum qty 35 Kg per electrode, however extra chemical if required to fill the hole around the rod, same shall be arranged by the contractror at his own cost and cost of the same is deemed to be included in the unit rate of this item) conforming to IEEE/BS standrads incl HDPE pit cover light weight made out of high quality polymer with lid made of HDG steel and U-clamp copper nut & bolt & gun metal body 1 No. per electrode required for joining all three electrodes complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- (i) The work of earthing shall be carried out by authorised trained rep of OEM. (ii) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shall be as per users requirement as desired by Engr-in-Charge but it should be below 01 Ohm . (iii) The procedure mentioned here-in-before for one earth pit shall be repeated for other earth pits. (iv) Copper strip 20x3.15 mm required for joining these three electrodes in loop shall be measured and paid seperately . (v)The distance between two successive earth electrodes shall not be less than 3 metres.(vi) The rate quated shall also be included the following elements: (a) Complete earthwork including drilling holes for electrode.(b) Earhing electrode-03 only (c) Backfilling carbon based ground enhancing compound (GEC). (d) Pit cover light weight made out of high quality polymer with lid made of HDG steel. (e) Copper strip as earthing lead of size 50mmx3mm, 250 mm long only, beyond 250mm, other size shall be measured and paid for separately under respective item here -in-after. (f) All labour and T&P required including testing of earth network. (vii) Testing for earth resistance shall be carriedout in presence of JE and Engr-in-charge. (viii) Original purchase vouchers for copper rod and back fill compound and manufacturer test certificate of entire quantity shall be produced by the contractor before commencement on ground.

(i) The earthing pit should be provided with proper earth pit and pit cover. Pit cover should be painted with synthetic enamel paint of approved colour and pit number to be marked on GI plate above 45 cm from GL as per colour code followed in AF Station.
(ii) If the desired earth resistance is not achieved during testing as per IS the complete earthing shall be carried out by the contractor at his own cost and no extra claim shall be admissible.
